Faith and Mental Wellness - Mental Health First Aid Training opportunities
LeaderShift is working with Dr Julie Clayton and Michael Collins of Tipping Point Services to bring the Mental Health Commission of Canada's Mental Health First Aid Training to a number of United Church locations across the Pacific Mountain Regional Council.
NOTE: LeaderShift is working toward 4 trainings for communities in the north of our regional council. Dates and locations to come.
Full details of each Training date is listed in Upcoming.
Previous Mental Health First Aid training courses that were sponsored by the PMRC First Third Ministry Network and LeaderShift sold out quickly, and as such, LeaderShift is giving this training high priority across the whole of the Pacific Mountain Region in 2020, offering a number of training dates and locations. LeaderShift is subsidizing the training fee, and working with communities of faith to provide meeting space free of charge, making these trainings as financially accessible as we can.
We have confirmed the following Winter/Spring dates & locations for the Mental Health Training.
Wed/Thurs Feb 5/6 – FirstMet United – Victoria
Fri/Sat Feb 7/8 – St. Andrew’s United Nanaimo, in partnership with Brechin United – Nanaimo
