a six week course exploring how our work for justice is rooted in United Church of Canada faith tradition and sacred scripture
A LEADERSHIFT OFFERING WITH JANE DAWSON
Daring Justice: Uniting in Dialogue and Reflection
Six Sessions February 15 - April 25, 2024
OnlINE Only, Via Zoom
In The United Church of Canada ‘daring justice’ is woven into the DNA of our faith. Many justice issues command our attention as we work for the healing of our damaged world. But sometimes we get so caught up in the issues that it can be draining. We forget to draw sustenance for this work from our relationship with God, and from the theological and scriptural roots that ground our call to justice.
This course invites you to step back from the issues to refocus on justice and the prophetic voice in our tradition and in scripture.
Be grounded, be nurtured.
Meeting six Thursday afternoons spread over three months, this course offers you an opportunity to become grounded and nurtured in the work of justice-making. Sessions weave presentations, self-reflection, group dialogue, and contemplative practices in an interactive learning format. Deepen your relationship with God, strengthen your theological and scriptural grounding, and experience a sense of community and encouragement.
