Planning week-to-week worship is exhausting. And when worship quality takes a nose-dive, the energy and inspiration you and the congregation need to live fully into your mission diminishes as well. Get ideas and training that will enliven your task of worship design and leadership. Come experience, explore and learn how to offer worship that is meaningful (finds life at the intersection of our life and faith story) and memorable (living beyond the time and place of worship)!
Dr. Marcia McFee is a professor, worship designer, author, preacher and ritual artist. Her first career was in professional theater, music, and dance in major companies that toured the world. She brings all of that, combined with a Master’s in Theology and a PhD in Worship and Ethics to her ministry of designing, leading, and teaching about meaningful and memorable worship for the last 30 years.
Join Pacific Mountain Regional Ministers for workshops on recruitment, emerging models of congregational governance, best practices, Manual roles and responsibilities and more. Come gain some knowledge and skills, build relationships with other lay leaders, and reconnect to why you care about and give your time, energy and commitment to your community of faith!

A four-day retreat for United Church ministry personnel of deep rest, renewal, community, prayer, and self-care.
Join LeaderSHIFT and Pacific Mountain Region’s Ministry Personnel Support Team from October 22-25, 2024 in Naramata, Okanagan Syilx territory.
Caring for our relationship with God, our deepest self and our vocation is one of the most responsible choices we can make as clergy - for our ministry, communities of faith, family and, of course, for ourselves.
We invite you to come centre your spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental health, in worshipful and grounded community. During this 4-day in-person retreat, held at Naramata Centre in the heart of Naramata Village, you will enjoy private accommodation with all meals, snacks, and course materials provided -- supporting your time of learning, reflecting, and rest. Sharing times of worship, music and intentional silence, you'll delight in the beauty of place, finding and making fun -- all in the company of colleagues.
With Rev. Wade Lifton
There is truly nothing more important than this right now. We hope you’ll join us.
