The Theological Banquet is an inspiring, one-day workshop that fosters language, identity and understanding in your community of faith.
God connects with each of us in unique ways. We search for words and images to speak about our profound experience – that’s Theology! In her research, Rev. Janet Gear has identified five distinct ways United Church people tend to express their ‘theologies’ – that’s the Theological Banquet.
LeaderShift is pleased to be sponsoring Janet’s leadership in a number of areas across the Pacific Mountain Regional Council this 2020 year.
At a workshop near you, come and discover which of the five theological streams fits for you, and which ones you encounter strongly in your community of faith. Learn about the Theological Banquet, savouring the blessings and gifts of these different ways. After the workshop we hope you will be more able to sit at the common table with people who share similar and different theological ideas and practices.
Currently, two Theological Banquet workshop Options have been booked - one in the Fraser Valley, and one on South Vancouver Island. Registration is open for both.
