This four-week workshop equips you with a framework to assess and evaluate where you currently find yourself in pastoral practice.  

You'll determine what is needed to address the ongoing traumatic waves that impact pandemic-ridden congregations.   

Specific attention will be given to understanding the complex nature of family systems and how they impact an individual, a family unit, and the larger congregational community.   

You'll be empowered to respond with deepening holistic healing strategies that are trauma-informed and trauma-oriented. 

Fostering Engaging Worship

How do you make the most of a live platform to engage people in a worship experience? We will explore this intention from planning to presiding online, including discussing the use of multi-media, creative arts and multi-sensory experiences to invite congregational participation and engagement. We will look at ways to promote connection and involvement over the long haul. This workshop will be most beneficial to those using a live interactive online platform such as Zoom.

Whether attempting to reach a congregation during a pandemic or reaching out to a broader audience to help the world live in greater love, video can be an amazing tool. Many of us have come to appreciate all that goes into making a video and just how daunting each step can be--not least of these is the editing, which can easily eat up half the time to make a video. With some solid planning, a touch of creativity, and the right tools, video editing can be a lot less daunting - and even good fun! 

This workshop considers 

• The overall role of the editor 

• Planning as a means to simplify editing 

• File management 

• Best practices in editing 

• Pitfalls to avoid 

• General workflow 

• Spicing up your vid (corrections & tweaks, transitions, effects, etc)

Greg started from scratch and is still climbing a steep learning curve in terms of video production, but now knows enough to be dangerous with a camera and microphone.

Making Online Worship Work - Little Tech Things than make a Big Difference

About Frank Zieginson

Frank Zieginson is the Music Minister, Worship Leader and Producer for Lynn Valley United Church in North Vancouver. Frank has extensive experience with putting on events from concerts, events, music festivals to worship services over the course of his varied career. In addition to being LVUC’s Music Minister he is also a professional Classical pianist, having obtained several degrees in performance, founder and Artistic Director of a Chamber Music Festival and the co-founder of Songscape Duo, with American Soprano Madeline Miskie-Jaeger. Frank is also an avid tech geek and teacher who loves to help people learn new skills as they navigate through life.
