The three Online Engagement Sessions are all coming up after Easter. One is very skill based, one is more about a theological exploration, and one is about engagement in spiritual practice. We are partnering with Connect North, an technology ministry supported by the Pacific Mountain Regional Council, in getting these LeaderShift Online Engagement Sessions tech-ready, and facilitators trained in the software and finer points of hosting online gatherings. In these unusual days of COVID-19 precautions and care taking, we are thankful for projects like these being already in the works, and that we have access to the technology that can bring us together, virtually.

We asked Andria Irwin of HighlandsOnline.ca to share with us her tested tips on offering welcoming, meaningful online experiences so that people can connect with the worship content. These tips from Andria are for communities of faith and ministries who already have either a YouTube, Facebook on Online Streaming presence, to refine your online offerings for your virtual parishioners. (Coming soon is a second resource from online minsitry leader Rev Bob Fillier, on ‘why online streaming worship’ and tips to get started. This second resource will be for church and ministry leaders who are keen to get their ministry online, but haven’t yet done so.)

We’ve decided to postpone the “Matt Miofsky Let Go: Leaning into the Future without Fear” March 16th, and March 17-19 events in Vancouver and Calgary. Postponed - not cancelled - the new, confirmed date for the day long “Let Go” event in Vancouver is Monday November 16, 2020, with Matt winging his way to Calgary right after, for the 3 day “Let Go” conference that will now run November 17-19, 2020.
