SARAH BESSEY? Yeah, I'm fan-girling out JUST A BIT

LeaderShift friends - best news

Because I get to work with LeaderShift, last week I was tasked to join forces with Brad - communications, and the conference planning team member over at Symons Valley United Church (Calgary/Niitsitapi/Treaty 7/Metis Nation of AB Region 3) - to work on promo images for …. A UNITED CHURCH CONFERENCE WHERE SARAH BESSEY IS THE SPEAKER. I can’t even.

If you don’t know about Canadian-born and prairie-living Sarah Bessey, I suggest you click over here STAT, and soak up all the ways Sarah that connects and inspires from a place of deep gratitude, intention and active faith.

And then block out the weekend of November 4-6, 2022, get planning your C-Town pilgrimage.

Many more details are to come (plus a developing an option for online watch parties - but still, we aim to fill the venue) . Here’s what the team has so far. Pass it on.

Warmly,

Your Part In the Healing of the World - ways in

May our prayers of lament

and prayers for peace

change us

more fully into the people and the communities

God desires us to be.

Friends may your Lenten practice bring you and your community clarity about your part in the healing of the world.

Let’s pray together.

Join with other congregational leaders for Finding a Way to Easter a weekly live contemplative worship each Tuesday morning.

Let’s tell the story.

Register now for The Festival of Telling – a beautiful opportunity to connect with the Story that gives us language for the Good News we are called to share.

Let’s listen to our differences.

Consider the Theological Banquet for your congregation as a program to help us live together with the theological difference that could either divide us or enrich us.

Let’s tend the gift of call.

And for Ministry Personnel desiring a deep retreat to attune to God’s call please consider Total Clergy Wellbeing.

With gratitude for our shared ministries,

The Latest

Friends,

Our ground is still frozen here, but everything softens into another spring, into another Lent and the Easter it prepares.

Maybe you have crocus that are this tall, and maybe you have snow that is this deep. But we know that as we melt into this new season everything that will leave us astonished is already alive underground.

And maybe some small, good work has been growing slowly beneath the freezes of the last two years.

And maybe slowly we will breathe into the signs of a renewed community and faith strengthened by a time of below ground.

What we hope just may grow if we tend it.

LeaderShift is watching the signs of emergence and the faith leadership required as we let our shoulders down into 2022 and all the promise it holds. Next week we launch the Decision making to Discernment series with Susan Beaumont (fully registered) for a year of growth for congregational board leaders.  What's Next? Conversations and Theological Banquet resources continue to be available.

Here's more of what LeaderShift offers as nourishment for you, links for connecting are below.

Blessings,
